Add Flash menus to your WordPress blog

I’ve been very happy with my WordPress blog, and continue to be impressed by its flexibility.  One thing I missed from my old static website was the Flash menus I’d created.  They added a bit of flair, and were fun.  Well, thanks to the Kimili Flash embed plugin for WordPress, I was quickly able to adapt the flash menus for blog website and embed them into pages.  The links of the graphical menu can either be categories or tags or other pages with graphic panels.  This creates an interesting way to explore the website, in parallel to the the sidebar navigation.

The Kimili plugin adds an icon to the post editor in my edition of WordPress (2.5) and worked flawlessly.  The Kimili plugin is a great way to add Flash animation to your WordPress blog.

If only there was Flash animation software for Linux…..

nice, this is becoming an all-in-one blogsite!!!

Will this also work with flash menus that retrieve content from an xml file?

I haven’t tried that, but it should work. Once the page recognizes the Flash script, whatever files it wants to access are controlled by Flash. My Flash menus successfully call other Flash menus.
