Brian Kelly Music Bio
Brian Kelly has played bass, keyboards, guitar, and harmonica with mid Michigan bands for more than 15 years. He has played blues and rock with bands such as Orchid Pool, Bald Kitty, and Flipt Out. With Brian on blues harp, Flipt Out opened for the Yardbirds and The Animals Reunion Tour at Lapeer days nearly a decade ago. Brian is now starting his solo career. His coffeehouse folk rock and roots music features an eclectic mix of music from the 60s folk rock of Bob Dylan and Stephen Stills to songs from Canadian artist Corin Raymond and Ann Arbor’s Mustard’s Retreat. An occasional original such as the recent “Circus Life” and “Raven Coffeehouse Blues” round out a blend of familiar and new songs with emphasis on the stories and lyrical poetry.
